I'm glad to hear that, plantpr0. Thanks for continuing to check in even though your attention is turning to other things (and how great is that?). It's good for newcomers to see that people are leaving because they succeed, not just because they fail.

Week 13-27 units, no af days, 1 day with a 50 mg booster. What can I say? 27 beers in a week with the fourth of July being 9 of them. No stupid days, no hangovers, and sleeping like a baby. A dream coming true and happening to me. A previous everyday drinker whose drinking career spanned more then 40 years. Just to not black out, wake up without a hangover and the ability to sleep is enough to keep me taking the nal. It's really amazing how far I've come in such a short period of time. I still like the drinking, but the compulsive desire has waned and basically non existent. I noticed while having a tuff time a few days, that I reached for the first few drinks as a problem solver. I drank 2 beers, no buzz, no place to run to and hide, lol. The problem turns out to be non-existent, not that bad. Just something in me, an uneasiness that left as fast as it came. I'm excited to be in the 3rd month. This month and next, the nal should have an exponential effect according to past studies. Lets hope I arrive at the mean which is 9 drinks a week. Regardless of what happens. As long as I can take the nal, I will. I don't want to go back, no way will I go back. Still drinking like normal. Not forcing anything, just being myself. In signing out, a big ty to all that have gone this route and contributed to this cause. A big welcome to all potential candidates who maybe considering this protocol. Imho this is the real deal, 80% success rate and too good to keep in the closet. Peace Start TSM 4/10/14 Wks:

Your progress is so encouraging, plantpr0! I'm on week 6, noticing only a very slight reduction in consumption but some definite cognitive differences around alcohol. Your chart gives me great hope that I'll start seeing big changes in another month or two.

Week 14-28.75 units, no af days, no boosters, what a change? I've completed 103 days and entered into the middle of my third month. Second time I've hit the 20's with absolutely no mental effort, a gift from just following the golden rule. This protocol has cut my drinking by 50% and as a bonus, I'm saving $$$$. The maniac, the beast, the compulsive drinker just isn't there. Two days skewed this weeks total. One at concert with 6 beers and one at a bbq with 7 beers. No stupid days, no hangovers and sleeping like a baby. In gauging my desire before my drinking sessions begin, I got to give it a 1 or 2 on a scale of 1 to 10. I believe it would be a lot easier now to implement a af day, but I'm not. I'm going to continue my current m.o. for at least 2 and 1/2 more months. Reason being, the book makes reference to leaving the protocol too soon and leaving a cake half baked. I will attempt to fully cook mine, I never want to go back. You know how we create a space where the illusion of the buzz is looked up to as if something good, enjoyable? I don't have that anymore. I have no idea why, but its like I completely woke up from it. Now, being awake, I'm faced with what seems to be a huge challenge. What to do with this free time? In signing out for this week, all good. Hoping you are all well and everyone happy. Ty for your posts, we can do this. Peace ..............Start TSM 4/10/14 Wks:

Hi plant pro, et al

Glad it's working. The free time problem seems like a problem at first, but it's funny how when you're doing constructive things instead of diddling around ruining your life with alcohol, you realize how completely ridiculous that is

Losing your good friend alcohol opens up a whole new world of good, a world you forgot about.

For some reason, that's just not obvious right away, but it becomes obvious when it actually happens.

Week 15-27.5 units, no af days, no boosters. Putting this weeks numbers in context, they're really pretty good. Behind the numbers is a little story though. We got a fair going on in a nearby town and I've always loved partying to live music. This weeks numbers are really skewed for this long time habit, a big trigger so to speak. I hit 3 concerts and I knocked out a 6,4 and 8 at them. Only reason for the 4 was the promoters shut the alcohol stands early by mistake and during intermission I couldn't get a 24 oz beer. The reason for the 8 was there were 3 intermissions and I was in the party mood, enjoying a great concert. I kinda blew it there with the harm reduction. But I got problems, what can I say? Hummm, 18 beers in 3 days at the concerts, 9.5 beers in the remaining 4 days at home. I remove the triggers that created the higher intake days and I was averaging about 2.5 beers a night at home. That's in the acceptable drinking level area. I can't believe it, me???? This ride has been a miracle to say the least. I can't blame the nal for not doing its job. I actually believe it's now showing me I can clean up my act, kinda grow up. The free time that I've acquired has been productive. I find myself busy fixing up my home, putting my life more in order. I have 2 upcoming concerts this week. I believe the nal is somewhat responsible for me purchasing so many tickets. Before I was happy to stay at home and get wasted. At least now, I'm getting out, doing something I like and participating in life. A little pro active personality character building so to speak. In signing out, all good. The Sinclair Method is doing everything it said it would. I want to say ty to all that have responded to my rambling. I've received some great advice, I'm listening. Peace Start TSM 4/10/14 Wks:
