I think there should be a special rugby dispensation for weekly drinking levels ;)

Hi everyone

I ended this week feeling somewhat seedy. Drove 45 mins to have dinner with a girlfriend who has been very supportive over the years. Usually with her I can do the 2 drink thing. Yesterday I had one beer before I left - had cravings after 2AF days. Had 2 wines over the course of a few hours, but then proceeded to buy another bottle of wine before I got home and plough thru that. Duh!!
So with all the socialising and rugby lately, this week is high units again. I'm trying to make an appointment to see a doctor for a special authority to get more nal. Several phone calls and no joy so far, but may call in to an outpatient centre I attended years ago tomorrow.
Will try to post my updated graph soon.
Dinner out again tonight for work, so hope to behave...
More rugby in the weekend and no doubt more drinking. I need to SLOW down or try the water between drinks again.
I hope you are all doing well.

Cheers

Great graph Sticky! It certainly shows a trend downward!

Hi all

Surprise, surprise, it worked! I didn't include last week's spike so the slow downward trend is more obvious.
2 nights of 8 drinks Thurs & Sat, but last night was happy to just have 2 beers.

Went to local Community Alcohol & Drug Services in search of a new special authority to get more nal. Had to see a counsellor today and answer lots of questions and have a doctor's appointment in one week. Have about 7 nal left, so hope that goes well and the authority doesn't take long. I'd forgotten I'd have to wait for that to be approved and mailed. Might need to factor in a few more AF days.

It's school holidays for 2 weeks. My older son has gone away with a friend for a few days and my younger one has had a friend here all day and for a sleepover. He and 2 of his mates are in soccer Nationals Fri-Sun.

Glad NZ, the Welsh and Aussies won their quarter final games in the Rugby World Cup.

Take care everyone

Cheers
Sticky :P

Hi, Sticky, that graph is fantastic! A picture really does speak a thousand words.

Where have you been getting Nal up to now? Can't you go to any GP and say you have an alcohol problem and that you'd like to try Nal to remain abstinent? No need to go into details, that way you get a good supply.

Nal on!

I agree it[s a good looking graph, and really shows that you HAVE been making progress. How do you make such a graph, anyways?
I am indeed glad to see that France finally picked up the pace and played a good game (my English boyfriend was less happy !! ;)

Hi Sticky, your graph does show a downward trend. Keep plugging away, it would be great to see some more spikes below 20 units. Maybe after the WC? Hope you enjoy tommorrows final- Carn the Wallabies!
