it seems like Nal is like buses around here - you wait ages for a delivery & then two turn up at once

I'm afraid I did end up drinking a couple of times without Nal before the deliveries arrived, which whilst not great, isn't the end of the world. it may have knocked me back a little in terms of extinction, but it hasn't taken away any of the progress in my conscious thinking regarding drinking. I can't honestly say I noticed much difference drinking without Nal - consciously at least - there was certainly no eureka moment of "wow - *that's* what I've been missing all these months!"

anyway, I now have about a 4-month stash & two new suppliers, so I don't intend to run out again!

Glad your Nal came and that you are back on track. Yesterday is over, right? At least unless you are hung over and then it hangs on for an extra day.

You are right, badger, this is a marathon for sure. Since I started I THINK I drank once without nal. I only had one glass of wine. After I drank it I realized that I could not remember if I took the nal or not, but I don't think I did. It felt no different. This process is more subtle than perhaps we wish it was.

it's been a while since I've updated this thread, so here goes ...

I went to 100mg a couple of weeks ago & for the first time in nearly 9 months of TSM I'm feeling the "blocking" effect most times I take the Nal & have stopped after 3-4 drinks & left wine in the bottle, which is pretty much unheard of (for the first bottle anyway )

so, in a way, I feel like I'm starting over, which is frustrating in some ways, but I don't feel that the time's been entirely wasted. even if I've only been getting a partial/placebo effect up til now, my mindset has changed markedly, which is half the battle

anyway, I haven't had an AF for far too long, so I'm going for a few this week, including today

Hi Badger, glad to hear that upping your dose is giving you the blocking effect that you need. I hope you had a good week last week and keep up the good work!

Attaboy for hangin in there. Its becoming apparent that we're all different in our reaction or tolerance to Nal. Did you ever experience side effects?
