Thanks DOMD. Glad to see it's still working! God I wish we could add you and a couple others to the cured list. Sucks we don't have any moderators

Congrats on the turning point. Your night out sounds like mine do on nal. Leaving beers behind, having a "couple more" (instead of 12)!

Keep up the good work.

Hi DOMD,

To inside observers, meaning this forum, we know this is a very big deal! That is wonderful! And this should be encouraging to people who have taken longer on TSM, as I see you started in January. Not 3-4 months for the big turnaround, but 10 months. So everyone out there in the beginning months, remember this and try not to get discouraged.

I am so happy for you, thanks for sharing and please continue to post!

YG

Congrats buddy, it couldnt happen to a nicer person. By the way it was only this week as well that Im finally admitting to myself that Im cured and like you Nal cured me.

5 Al free days and about 8 drinks this last week. When I think of those years of worry that alcoholism was forever going to be in my future. Its some relief I can tell you, but you know that yourself

Hi DOMD,
I know you from the WQD and have followed your progress. My husband has just started the Sinclair Method. Thanks for sharing. Your story and "Mario's" encouragement make me feel hopeful that there is an answer for John and I. I have been sober for 3 yrs, but he slips and binges and chaos ensues. His binges are wild and dangerous, and then he returns to a completely sober life after detoxing. He is desperate for an answer. ME TOO! I would not have believed your story if I did not know you first from another place. Despite the scientific data, FDA approval...there is a feeling of being sold snake oil because the recovery professionals are either unaware of this treatment or don't believe in it! I have communicated with people who have failed on naltrexone but will not hear me explain that THe Sinclair Method is different than trying to use it to fight cravings while abstaining. There are others who do not give it time. When I consider how long my Hub and I have been battling alcoholism unsuccessfully, we can invest the time to try something that seems to have a better success rate than the others. AA is popular because once you pass the detox stage, life instantly improves. Living alcohol free is fantastic, until you slip and the cycle repeats itself. I am looking for something that will improve our lives forever, not next week or month. Thanks for again for sharing. Hoping to see my husband tell a similar story!

In so many ways I'm glad we have this "native" forum here to post our journey. There is no reason to lie, no corporate sponsorship or hidden agendas, just real people sharing both heartbreaking and amazingly inspiring stories-thank you for sharing yours DOMD!
