so I decided to go on a bender. a 7 day alcohol-free bender! just woke up yesterday and thought it'd be a good idea. maybe hasn't happened in 30 years. 20+ years for sure. actually doesn't seem to daunting thanks to Nal. wish me luck!

Zontar - I misread your post and thought you had just DONE a 7 day AF bender! (laughed at an AF 'bender'). I think that is a great idea. I will enjoy reading in a week that you did just fine! Go you !

nothing special, just drinking a lot of tea and trying to stay occupied. the weather is crappy, so I plan to watch some movies (I'm an indie film buff), and going to an Olympic qualifier volleyball match friday night with a guy who doesn't drink. I forgot the national championship football game is on monday (football and beer go together pretty well for me), but I plan to watch it with my elderly father, who also doesn't drink. AF days are nice, but I still don't really have a ton of them, so I decided to kick it up a notch. I don't really have any huge goals beyond that, just want to see what it feels like...

I am betting on you and Clemson!

Clemson's a good bet. I'm going out on a limb and say Alabama by 18. I always like to see a perfect season ruined, even if I can't really stand the Crimson Tide. in reality, I think it's going to be a close one....

I do not know where you are, but here in Cincinnati, it hasn't been that bad. As long as I have my sun I am good to go, the cold I can do without, but it comes with the season.

Are you an Indian Jones buff? For I wasn't sure what you meant by indie film buff, but re-watching films (like indian jones) is something that we do here, and we will watch the delete scenes and the directors cut as well. There are a couple of films I haven't seen and probably won't until they are on TV (if that isn't sad), so I admire you for setting a side the time to watch them.

yes, it is another language, but very important stuff if you're obsessive about it. I love it but don't take it too seriously...

by indie I meant independent film. stuff that doesn't get picked up by regular theaters (foreign films, documentaries, strange american films). that said, yes, I like Indiana Jones stuff as well. haven't watched any in forever!
