WOW girrfren! I am so happy & hopeful tonight! Loving summer & the posts here. Loving every day and the positive changes - you, me, us & the rest of the world!

WOO HOO!! Now if only my Jake would materialize!! :-) No doubt "he" will..I am confident of that...at least one of these days when I least expect it...fo' sho'!

Am on #4 - thought I'd 'fess up :-)

Gawd, I love wine!! I don't want to break up with wine, I just want to have a FWB relationship w/ wine. Not a committed, gotta have it everyday relationship w/ wine. More of a once or twice a week, oh yeah - hey I miss my friend, think we should get together but if it doesn't work out, that's ok, relationship w/ wine. Ya know??!! A couple times/wk is good & we are not in a committed relationship any more deal w/ wine! LOL

That would be nice. Keeping tabs, muh frens. We are good, yes?

Well it looks like we've finally got some internetivity - sure hope it lasts. I suspect God arranged for that lightning to take down the internet so I'd get cracking on my book deadline. It worked, as I got much, much more work done in the past 2+ weeks than previously. I'm just so darned hooked on this message board!

As for progress, it's been spotty. As usual, no linear progress, but definite signs that the Nal is working. For one thing, my Man Jake and I visited some friends last week and ended up staying much longer than expected. They wanted us to go to a local General Store/Sub shop for supper, and even though booze would not be an option we agreed to go. Wonderful little store with old-fashioned furnishings and displays and yummy, original foods. Afterward we stopped at their neighborhood ice cream shop. I didn't know places like that still existed: Big deck with comfy outdoor chairs, a fire in the chiminea, all the locals gathered around sharing the latest gossip, a couple with their young Lab treating it to its nightly ice cream cone (I ended up giving most of mine to the dog as well - instant friendship!). We had a genuinely heart warming time. . .with no alcohol whatsoever! Yep, an unplanned AF day. That night my sleep was disturbed by heavy sweating, but it was worth it!

Since then the drinking has been pretty much on an even keel, with my consuming from 6-9 glasses of wine a day (Pre-Sinclair it was 10-14 per day, so I'm nearly at the half-way mark). I re-read one of my earlier posts on this thread, and had actually forgotten we had Peppermint Schnapps in the house. I also have NO desire for the occasional Crown Royal - something I used to treat myself to a couple times a week. It doesn't appeal to me in the least bit. Last night I had four glasses here at home b/4 we headed out for our Tues. night Mexican special at the local bar. Had two more there. . .ordered another, and couldn't drink it  , so gave it to my sister. Was loopier than I usually get on that much wine - until now Nal has always had the opposite effect.

As noted on another thread, I'm no longer keeping a diary of my drinking units as it seemed counter-productive. I was obsessing on the numbers, rather than just trusting the Nal to do its thing. I do know what I'm drinking on a daily basis, so have a good idea about my overall consumption - but seeing it day after day in black and white just got me down on my seeming 'lack of progress.'

Well, the manuscript beckons. I miss you guys!

This looks good G4 , healthy living , sounds very nice . The consumption is looking well reasonable by comparison .
That switch to 75 so necessary but puts you at the right tempo , maybe some lost time to get up to pace explains your AF record but that's coming too . Great stuff _onward and downward !
