Good going thistime. I don't know what's going on with me but the taste is not good and I am pretty nauseous most of the day but I still drink, crazy eh? I hope this is not TSM working as I drink stuff that tastes bad just because I need to. I want it to be that I am disinterested and don't care to drink anymore if that makes sense. I think my brain is still having the cravings???

That will come with more time, Cheeto. You're in a very frustrating phase right now, but if you stay the course the obsession will lift.

Cheeto

I know we say this too often, try not to overthink this. In my own experience the taste got bad and I tried to keep pushing through until one night the TSM won over the endorphins. The days that followed and just the thought of drinking was very unappealing.

That quickly turned into indifference in my case. Don't worry it happens without effort, it's not how I imagined the end game would but it works.

The dream is coming my friend.

Week 16

Sunday through to Wednesday AF, had 6 drinks (cans of Fosters) on Thursday but the nalmefene hit me hard. Friday I had five cans and felt really nauseous. On waking up Saturday morning I was reaching without being sick. Really felt bad. Saturday and Today (Sunday) AF days mostly because the Nalmefene is having more of a antibuse affect on me.

There's no doubt I'm enjoying the AF days, they are effortless. I always imagined that I would be able to have the odd drinking night once a week or so. However, talk about wanting my cake and eating it.

As I write this tonight you couldn't pay me to drink, yet there's still a part that's hanging on to the way it once was if that makes sense.

sounds like you're doing great TT! I wonder whether you still have some of the habit left, even after the neural pathways have gone, which is hanging on to how things used to be? in any case, it sounds like a pretty good place to be & I'm sure that will lessen over time

Thanks to all of you for your kind words and support.

I have done nothing apart from take the pill one hour before and drink as normal. I probably started a little ahead of those waiting for the nal to kick in who are presently posting.

The truth is when it happens it happens, I can no longer control what I think about alcohol now than before I started with TSM. However now my thoughts are the lack of desire as compared to an overwhelming need to drink every night before.

You maybe glad to hear but IMHO the only "difference" between those that have found a cure already, myself who has tipped over the edge, those posting now who are waiting for the pill to have an effect and who those others who come after us "IS TIME"

Good luck and keep the faith.
