Hi 6 Days. Looks like you are well on your way down the extinction highway. It shouldn't be long now although it is frustrating that we can't quite predict it. I've just had my third evening in a row of 'moderate' drinking. I struggled to finish one 125 ml glass this evening I've had the same bottle open now for about 4 days and there is still some in it. Once you start feeling like you can think about setting goals its good to try- just a caution- don't beat yourself up if you don't quite stick to them. Its great to see more members from this side of the water on board.

Hi SBTS,
Yeah, it's good we've got a few UK members on the board now.
Thanks for the words of support.
Well done on making a bottle last 4 days!! That's great. I'm not quiet at that stage yet.
You've been making some great progress in the past few weeks.
I know what you mean at beating yourself up if you don't always make your goals, and you're right.

Hope you've been enjoying the September Indian Summer we've been having.

Hi WTE, it is usually doom and gloom. It has just been a bit more sunny here than usual. Today was a great day for October.

Have been getting a lot from the posts and this site. Thanks to all who post their weekly progress, and post how they are getting on - whether things are going good, or not so good. It is a real help.

Realized I haven't posted my progress for a couple of weeks.
Week 14 - no denying the numbers were down (25 UK Units - 14 US Units) , but I have to admit this was more of product of what was going on in my life, rather than TSM if I am honest. On two occasions in week 13 other people were in charge of the bottle, and if I would have had it my way, I would have gone for more. Got 3 AFDs in there which I'm really happy about. I am finding the AFDs much easier these days. It is funny, on the AFDs, I simply have better things to do than drink now the cravings are fairly low - at a 3.
I know this is a product of the NAL and TSM and am very grateful for it.

Week 15 - Again good numbers (26 UK Units - 15 US units) - again busy week and got 5 AFD's in there. Amazing! Had one blow-out binge of 17.5 Units one day which I am not proud about. I was so hungover the next day - I was green and had to go to work. I seem to be finding the AFDs easy, but I am still binging when I drink. I am with you SBTS - I always seem to drink more after my AFDs.
My anxiety is still there when I take the NAL. I was supposed to go and drink with some friends last night, but an hour after taking my NAL I knew I wasn't in a good state (my anxiety was high) and I decided not to go.
Saying that, I was in a Health Store today, and was going to replenish my supply of St John's Wort (a herbal anti-depressant)
I had the bottle in hand and decided to put it back, as I can honestly say I don't need it. I feel really good at the moment, and don't need an anti-depressant. This put a real smile on my face. I know this is a product of TSM - and again, am very grateful.

In week 16 now. I am off on vacation next week and am a bit worried about it.
Last vacation I seriously blew out to 111 UK Units. I am going to make a real effort not to make a repeat performance.

Hope all continues to go well for those on TSM.

Hi six days ,
A broad pattern is getting AF days now and again and more so . Thereafter cutting down comes in more evenly. So don't worry too much should you not get what you hope for on holiday , it's never an easy time for drink progress . The binging will get even worse ( ie better ! ) enjoy it when you see the worst excesses capped .
