I thought I posted this already but don't see it.....excuse me if it is a duplicate. UK Blonde, I really want to thank you for sticking around here to help others when you could easily move on and put this all behind you. I cannot image at this point "choosing" to go alcohol free like you have; I came in with the goal to learn to drink moderately and responsibly. I cannot imagine what it must have taken you to make that choice; and after two years with TSM? But who knows what the future holds? Step by step, right? Anyway, it means more than you can know for those of you like UK blonde for whom this has worked long term to keep coming back to encourage us newbies. Life is busy and it takes a special person to take their time out to help someone in this anonymous way. But it matters. I hope to one day be in your position and also hope to remember your kindness and pay it forward when and if I can. Newlife

No problem. It's what TSM did to me and I don't mind one bit

I set off simply wanting to fix the problem I had with alcohol, it was going to kill me. I didn't want to drink, but TSM required it, and so I did it. I then quite liked moderating, I guess after binge drinking it was quite novel.

I think TSM allows you to step back and consider alcohol from a neutral point of view. It's not easy though, but it's all part of my journey.

Hi Newlife - it is all sounding really good for you. Great to see how it is affecting you. I do not feel any SE's apart from the initial nausea which as long as I have food in my tummy when I take the Nal, is fine. Enjoy the good feelings you are getting !

Hugs, Maggie x

Thanks Maggie.

Last night was my first 50 ml night. I can feel such a difference. Went to a business event that I really did not want to go to. Incredible that I am not hungover this morning as usually I would have been - social lubricant, you know. Just drank two glasses of wine, but with dinner and with about an hour in between. And I really enjoyed it because I wasn't swilling it down to get the next glass as fast as I could. Like a normal person. What was so very interesting was watching the others; about 30 percent of whom were obviously drunk. Never noticed that before because I have always been one of them. Lovely people, but they certainly do laugh too loudly and act strange. Funny to think that for the last 30 years that has been there but I haven't realized it. I remember that same realization when I was pregnant. Difference is that I had ABSOLUTELY NO DESIRE to be one of them. It was like I was standing apart watching myself. Almost like an out of body experience.

This drug definitely does something, and I cannot wait to continue my journey and find out exactly what it does for me.

I have such high hopes. Wishing everyone else success as well. Nal on!

That is so great about you business meeting last night! Yes, NAL does something for sure. I know what you mean about seeing others drunk and i also remember that when I was pregnant - most of the social situations I am in always lead me to be that drunk person - i get so nervous and it is for sure a social lubricant for me. I am hopeful NAL will change that for me too and am glad you had that experience. I am excited you have had such a great start and hope it continues on! Keep posting and keep up the good work! Have a great weekend. Ready
