I've been taking naltrexone for 9 weeks now.
I have drank every day. 750 ml., wine.
I had no honeymoon period.
Side-effects: dry mouth and occasional stomach cramps.
On this the 9th week, I notice that I do not get the high I normally get from the first drink. I especially liked that high from the first drink, especially on an empty stomach. The old adage one drink is too many and 3 is not enough definately applied to me.
There has been a definite change. The morphine receptor sites in my brain are being filled with naltrexone and the alcohol is just not having it's bad old effect.
I think I'm on my way to join Nightrider soon. Can't wait!
