I've been on TSM since last June, and thought things were going pretty well. My units were steadily declining - until about a week ago. Suddenly, I started getting the old cravings again, even though I've been taking Nal religiously. Why in the hell would this happen after all this time? I'm beginning to think this has all been a big waste of time. Has anyone else experienced this?

I don't remember anyone spiking after ten months. A few questions: how much were you drinking pre-TSM, how much were you drinking before the spike, and how much now? Also, do you have other benefits apart from numbers, like increased clarity, fewer blackouts and hangovers? It's possible you ran into some new triggers that haven't been dealt with, hence the spike.

Hi WeirdOh, I can't really help you. I'm only at week 22. Perhaps your question would be best to direct to Dr Eskapa? One other question, have you changed where you get your Nal from?

Hi Weird-oh - Check out MLB's thread. It happened to him and we haven't heard from him in awhile. Maybe you could pm him and see how he's doing with it. In any case, I'm so sorry that it is happening to you. Keep taking your Nal with Al and see if it passes. Maybe there is some major trigger going on for you right now. Hang in there buddy. We are here for you.

I don't know that there are any triggers; I just suddenly started craving again after doing pretty well for a while. On the other hand, this weekend I've had three beers on Friday, two glasses of wine yesterday and I'm on my second glass right now, and don't feel like having any more. Maybe it was just some kind of hiccup in the process, but it was kind of deflating. I'm hoping to get back on track - maybe I already am - but I appreciate everyone's input. You guys rock.

Hey weird-oh, how are things going? Has the spike you experienced subsided?

Hi, SV -

Yes, things seem to be a bit better, although last week I went on another minor binge. I'm still below my old level of drinking, but I notice that alcohol is in my thoughts more than it was, which is problematic. Staying the course for now. Thanks for asking.
