Week 1:

I have finished my first week of TSM. I've seen no chemical or physical effect, but my depression has been lifted just by the hope this method and this website have brought.

During week 1 I drank all 7 days, with a total of 51 units. This is right on my average of 50 units/week which is my estimate for pre-TSM. It also involved 3 particularly bad days where I acted like a jack-ass to my wife. Those are the days that I always regret, and the reason I know I must quit.

My cravings during week 1 were not effected by TSM, I would say it was an 8 or 9 for the whole week. I pretty much know when I wake up that I will drink that afternoon/evening, and as the day progresses it goes from a passive understanding to a deep commitment. Normally this is a sad progression, but now that I'm viewing it as a treatment, it's almost comical. It's like I can step outside of myself and laugh at how ridiculous I must seem to anyone else.

It's too early to call, but week 2 started out with an AF day and a lower craving non-AF day. I'll post next week on how it goes.

It's amazing to me how common our experiences are.

I guess it shouldn't be surprising. We are all humans, undergoing the intake of alcohol; therefore the common experience.

I hope we're as similar as you say, because I like the results you've seen! To think that in 21 weeks I could be cured, it makes we want to go dancing in the streets! Not that I'm setting that as an expectation, but man it'd be nice

Week 2 was an anomalous week. Monday was AF because my son got sick and was puking all evening and night, so I had to take care of him. By Thursday, I had contracted the same stomach virus, which still is haunting me today (Monday). Because of that. I had 4 AF days this week, and a total of only 19 units. I wish I hit 19 units because I was making such awesome progress, but alas that's not the case. :D

The good news is, while the virus was painful and nasty, having a few AF days was a nice break from the habitual drinking. One of the days I did drink earlier in the week, I had very little cravings. I really felt like I stopped and picked up some vodka on my way home only because that's what I do, and not because I needed it. At some point, I'm going to have to break free of that habit.

It's been awhile since I've written, but I'm still continuing TSM religiously. It's not like it's hard to do, thats for sure. I had a really bad week 4, with 65 drinks, thats 30% more than pre-TSM. But week 5 was back in control with only 40 units. That's a little below pre-TSM (50) but mostly because I had an unexpected AF day (because I was still hungover from the night before).

Overall my cravings are lower for sure, and I've had a few days where I purposefully drank less than my usual and felt satisfied anyways. I hope to have more of those this week.
