I know that I have posted this before but I can't believe that there's not other couples doing TSM together. Please post we really need support from one and other. I know it's hard to keep doing tsm for yourself much less having a SO doing it too, so please let me know that I'm not the only one out here going through this by myself.

I'm not a great help here, because my SO is convinced that he does not have any issue with alcohol. He says that he drinks because I do and that as I taper off, he will have no trouble. Really frustrating because 1 - I don't think this is true and 2 - he gets to be passive aggressive toward me and a bit snotty about my drinking. Although I am drinking slower and being more aware, he came home and pounded a six pack of strong beer before I even looked in the fridge twice. Hmmm, no problem huh? I'm leaving it alone for now - we've dealt with an addiction issue before (off & on he smokes pot) and I know better than to try and tell him anything regarding his habits. How are things going with you and your SO doing TSM together? Did you decide to begin at the same time? What are the hard parts and/or does it help to have someone doing it with you?

Hi SS, my husband is a 24/7 drinker and I'm what you would call a functioning drinker who comes home from work and begins with wine. Yes, we started tsm at the same time but like most things in our marriage I take care of everything. I always have to make sure he's taking the Nal. and the whole pill not just half, ohhh frustrating. Our honeymoon with Nal is over and it was great but now we back in the swing of things like before. His choice of drink is vodka preferably hidden around the house, even though I've told him it doesn't matter now with taking Nal to put it out in the open but I guess old habits die hard. I know there are some here who have split with their SO and have hopes of one day getting back together but I sometimes wonder when my HB and I are cured if we still will have a marriage.

Hang in there we have a long bumpy road ahead of us and who knows things might seem brighter in the weeks to come.
