I just ordered Eskapa's book so I'm sure I will eventually find out the answer to my question.
However, many of you end you email with a summation of units of alcohol taken in a week and where you feel you stand on a scale of 0 - 10 when it comes to craving. Can somebody outline this diary for me. I would like to start my diary before my doctors appointment on Friday. I'm not really sure what a unit of alcohol is.

Yes, your question about the craving scale is to attempt a weekly average estimation of its severity . That's why some on there weekly "signatures" give more precision or a range .
Units are fairly simple to calculate if your poison comes in metric measures .
It's based on idea that a litre of wine at 10 % alcohol has 1O units
So often a bottle of wine has 12 % alc and is 75 centilitres therefore you calculate that it holds 9 units . If you get 6 glasses out of the bottle each will be 1.5 units.
