Well, now that's a big one !
I'd imagine that knowing the kind of soul searching that goes hand in hand with addictions some people here must have strong ethical or religous beliefs . i've been wondering how folk square the SM with all that . As it hasn't been broached perhaps
questions or comments here could be of some relief ?
The moon is angry tonight and depriving me of sleep well that at any rate is part of it.

elfern,

For many years, I have had a spiritual aspect in my life. Does it cause any conflicts with the Sinclair Method? Not at all. Indeed, if it did, then I would have to do some serious soul-searching.

All the best,

V.

Hi elfern,

I've also been a long-time spiritual explorer, and there's no doubt in my mind that alcohol has seriously limited my ability to feel connected to God (or whatever you choose to call her :D ). I am so looking forward to having spiritual clarity again, thanks to the help of Naltrexone - which I believe is something God has now revealed to the world in order to help 'set prisoners free. . .' Surely, addicts are truly imprisoned by their habits - and if this opens the doors of those prisons, then Hallelujah!

I'm sure there are many in the "addiction treatment industry" who would look at The Sinclair Method and question how ethical it is to tell an addict to continue drinking.

Fact is:

- if you do nothing, you are going to continue to drink,
- if you abstain, you will almost certainly start drinking again at some point,
- taking the 4-5 month Sinclair Method journey for most of us is only a small time frame in the big picture of how long it took us to get addicted.

Even if you are a skeptic, you have nothing to lose really by following The Sinclair Method.

Nice points made in last two postts . Q sums it up with tight logic concerning the future , (probably brighter and at worst absolutely nothing to loose ) . Going 4 'sallusion to a past of hashing up accessability to God rings so true to me .
I have no problems squaring the SM with my god . It seems a responsible way
to follow . i for one shall be praying for its safe propagation .
