Looking through the discussions, there seems to be no rhyme nor reason how the posts are sorted. It seems that sorting by date (latest being last) would be very helpful, as it would show if of not TSM works for the individuals posting and how long they have been using TSM.

It might also include a search-back to a certain date of where that particular poster stood at that time and how things have changed since then.

Just IMHO, trying to make the board as user-friendly and positively-supportive as possible. :?:

Thanks, once more...

The way you suggest is exactly the way I'm set up, yet old posts often appear at the end of each thread. My "Display post ordering direction" however, is "Ascending." Is this correct?

Thats the way most people like it I think. About the old posts at the end of the thread...I dunno, that sounds weird.

Agreed, off topic. Totally off topic! Moved to the Off Topic area.

Again, sorry about the off-topic, which it indeed it is. I'll delete if requested. Meanwhile, let me have a little word in here...

It's your thread Mike! If you think it's off topic, you can just edit the title!

Regarding sorting of posts, here's what I think I'm seeing. The Topics seem to be sorted by descending date, the most recent posted first. Within each Topic, the Posts appear to be sorted by ascending date, the most recent posted last.

Does this make sense?

I think it would be easier to see everything ascending--i.e newest posted last in both Topics AND Posts.

Is this possible?

Mike

Yes it's possible. In the "Display topic order direction:" drop down menu, select "Ascending"

But consider the implications, you'd have to go to the last page of say the "General Discussion" forum, to find out what people are talking about today.

I'm still confused as to how you have it set up the same way I do yet some posts made in the past end up at the end of your threads...?

Are you sure Uncle AL hasn't stopped by for a visit? (a little levity and all that... :) ) -E

Yep, he did, about ten times. Violated my own rule about not PWI. I'm moving that part of the post to the off-topic area! :o
