Greetings TSM friends!

I started TSM on May 29, this year and noticed that my drinking was literally cut in half within a week. (from ~ 150 u per week pre TSM). Initially the NAL made me feel ill so I had no desire to drink. Over time, my body adjusted to the NAL and I no longer feel sick after taking it....in fact, I feel nothing at all.

I found that over the past 3 weeks I am at a plateau of 114 u per week. I make a point of tracking my cravings; the situation; what's happening in my head; the degree of the craving; etc. trying to see a trend whereby I can change the environment when cravings arise in patterns.

Has anyone experience such a plateau? Much like losing weight, will continuing the NAL eventually lead to another decline? I'm hoping that I am not a "non-responsive"....I've read where some need to take 100 mg NAL per day. Is anyone out there doing that....or combinng NAL with Zolfran (odansetron) and/or Topamax (topiramate)?

Also, I beleive I saw that nalmefene is now available by Rx in the U.S. Brand name "Revex". (???)

As we have discussed on many threads, this is a process that takes at least three to four months. Nothing that happens in the early weeks is particularly significant.

We're glad you're with us. Please keep reading Dr. Eskapa's book and the information on this board to learn all you can about TSM. That is a good way to avoid being let down by unrealistic explanations.
