Hi All,

I'm SO sorry for the outage and even more sorry that I didn't catch it. I try to stop in every day but my dad is in town and I've been doing other things. Just an unfortunate coincidence. Thankfully Lena was able to call me to let me know.

I do not know what happened. It could have been a hacker but no data was lost so I think probably not. In any case we had recent backups. No posts should have been lost.

The dot-com url will be active soon and will simply point here. I took this opportunity to migrate us from a Windows server to Linux and upgrade to the latest version of the board software. All of this took place this afternoon, as I wasn't even aware of the outage until this morning.

I appreciate everyone's patience!

RV

THANKS! Man, now I have two addictions -- this board and booze. I was like a lab rat, continuously hitting "thesinclair..." on my "favorites" only to be hit with white light! The good news is it gave me a chance to read My Way Out, which I hadn't really looked at until this site went down. It was interesting seeing the comments of some of the vets on this board during the earlier stages. Anyway, RV, thanks again for getting it back up!

You're welcome!

And a note about your very impressive early progress: Most of what you're probably seeing now is probably due to your desire to quit drinking rather than any effect from the medicine. Don't be alarmed if it goes back up again or starts bouncing up and down.

Take care!

RV

You are correct. Turns out I WAS having the "honeymoon" -- one drink and no interest in a second one for the first time in decades for the first two weeks on nal. That went away at the same time the side effects of the medication waned as well. But I have read every post on this board and MWO, so I remain convinced that I'm well on my way to having my cravings extinguished. Thanks for the encouragement. I'll post more under my progress if anyone is interested.

Thanks N101CS for getting the site back up and running. I guess now we know how much it means to us.

Ditto Nick,
I was away from a computer for a couple of days at the weekend and couldn't wait to get back on to the site. I couldn't believe it on sun night- argh them? Do you think does the dependence on the site wane as the extinction kicks in?
