Hope,
My heart goes out to you for this would be hard.
How absurd that a medicine is banned. I do not understand the reason behind that, and to ban drugs for colds and cough it doesn't make sense.
I did find this by doing a google search and naltrexone is a class b drug:
Controlled Drugs Class B – Controlled medicines
Possession of these drugs must be accompanied by a prescription. Many of these drugs are available over-the-counter in other countries and travellers to or through UAE should ensure they obtain a prescription before carrying any of these drugs to that country.
They include many common cold and cough remedies

I agree that it would be difficult for me to be on a holiday and not want a drink. Being the risk taker that I am I would most likely bring it with me (yes a true drunk) in hopes that they would be more focused on security with these crazy bombers than the drugs you might have in a suitcase; however, they may be more focused on everything coming into the country because of these recent bombing.
Kiwi drugs does have doctors on line and will write a script for you (for legal reasons). I do know that they claim the nal is coming from their supplier from the UK and the online service is through its UK affiliate. Maybe email/call them to see if it will come with a prescription to pass through Dubai (just a suggestion).

Good luck and if you do decide to be AF good luck,
