Thanks for the link. I have never heard of it, and when I have a moment I will check it out.
I think it was me that said to speak to Maggie, for she had a lot of issues with AF days until she felt completely different about alcohol. For almost a year Maggie struggled with AF days, and had to force them. But, once it clicked in her brain it really clicked!
So many people referrer back to the book, but a lot of us do not respond like the book. It is a good resource, but this is such a personal experience that we have to figure out what works for us.
I think Maggie has a good suggestion about pushing back that hour, even if it is 15 minutes. I did that. Those 15 minutes were hard, but it let me know that I could survive without that drink even though my body and brain were screaming for it. And then my body got used to that extra 15 minutes, so I pushed it to 30 minutes.
The real point is not to give up! You can push yourself out of your comfort zone to help your brain let go, but when your brain is ready to let go it will. The main thing is to just follow the golden rule and never give up hope.
