I have a stock of about 80 pills. May get another 60 in 3 months. This is enough to last me the year and longer as I am no longer drinking but I want some just in case. Does the pills effectiveness degrade over time? Does anybody have any experience with using NAL that is over a year old? Any help would be appreciated here. Thanks.

Goatmaster,

I believe JoAnna will ask someone if their nal is expired if they are having difficulty, so there could be an issue with the nal being older; however, I am unsure about how old it would have to be for it to be less effective.

Naltrexone is like any medication - it does lose it's efficacy over time - does yours have a 'use by' date on it? I do not think it would harm you - but it might not be as effective - when did you get it?

hugs, maggie
