I am new but I am a bit worried that my Multiple Sclerosis will be affected by the high dose Naltrexone. I understand the LDN (lose does) is effective at treating symptoms of MS, but I think the dosage of 50 mg might have the reverse effect. Does any one know? I just took my second dose of 25 mg Naltrexone for drinking this evening.

I have read articles suggesting that High Dose Nal will suppress the auto-immune system and can cause cancer cells to proliferate. The medical benefits of LDN come from the body's rebound when OFF of Nal. If one is on nal for 24 hrs a day, then one could get the opposite effect. I suggest caution and LOTS of research. Good chance your Dr. won't know.
I am one of two people I have come across to control AL abuse with LDN dose of 4mg and the other no longer visits the forum. I believe this works for me because the 4mg covers for 4hrs and my drinking is done well within that time frame. I do not recommend this path to anyone anymore as it tends to upset some people. However I feel it is important to understand the drawbacks of High Dose, esp in your case. I am not here a lot but PM me if you like.
