This is from the options saves lives forum. I think we need doctors to be more aware and having the lawmakers make a law/bill is a good thing. I just read that a pill was passed about doctors not being able to write a script to a patent that is on nal. for opioid addiction unless they are in treatment...you know doctors will see not allowed to write script and that will be the end of that. Now this pill was written in Ohio, but how hard has it been for others to get this drug! In Spain (I have read, unable to verify) you are allowed to buy it over the counter...wouldn't that be nice! I posted it for people who want to "give their testimony" to Claudia and Jenny Williamson who is going to to Capitol hill. Claudia is the actress who wrote the book about how TSM saved her live and is the founder of the C-3. I did go ahead and email Jenny, but I am unsure if they still need people.

TSM has changed my life. I am not "cure"; however, I am not drinking 2+ bottles of wine a night and I can stop at 1 glass of wine, where before after those 2 bottles I was looking for more.

I never thought much about until I read how they have made a new rule (2014) in Ohio that naltrexone is not allowed to be given to a patient unless the patient is in a recovery program for opioid addiction. BUT do doctors really read the entire thing...no, they will say you're not in a program so I cannot give it to you...let alone that you are getting it for al. addiction. I think the entire process of trying to get nal. is ridiculous, for I even lied to my doctor for nal. and she doesn't want me on it any longer than 6 months...my 6 months are about up!

I haven't had my liver functions done but if I felt I needed to she would, but she didn't feel it was necessary since I wasn't on a high dose. I was not honest with my doctor, and I will most likely be asking a different doctor of mine to write the script. My gyn is open minded and believes in treating the "entire patient" instead of her female parts and I will be asking her next.

I am sorry about your doctor putting that on your chart, and I don't understand why they will not give you more than 6 months? Since I wasn't honest with my doctor I can understand why she doesn't want to give me more. I did read that 6 months is what they claim will help some (being abstinence that is), but some it may take longer.

I really do not understand doctors and them keeping this drug under such a tight fist. If I went in for sleep medicine they wouldn't bat an eye! My sister had 3 doctors write her scripts for Oxycodone and no even questioned her about that...but ask for something to help you for a habit like nal...and you have to jump through hoops and act like a freak to be taken seriously.

I hope your doctor is more understanding, have you tried showing him the book?
