Without getting all TMI on everybody, can anyone tell me if it's safe to take Imodium (loperamide) and nal. I searched on this site and found a discussion from 2012 about a study done on rats and I've googled it but the results weren't very helpful. I take one OTC strength imodium every night and will need to continue doing so. I'm thinking that since they work on two different parts of the body I should be okay, especially if I separate them by several hours. Apparently loperamide is an opiod-receptor agonist (whatever that means) that works in the lower intestine and it doesn't cross the blood-brain barrier. I'm just copying from Wikipedia- I have no idea what the significance of that information is. Perhaps there is someone on here that does. I just want to make sure that they're not going to counteract each other or cause me to go into a coma. Anybody?

I googled Naltrexone and loperamide. Confusing results.
