hey all.
i posted before about my
hard time taking naltrexone. i am lucky enough to have a p-doc who will give it to me, though i haven't had a hard time ordering it online either (just as a test... it's a lot more expensive without insurance).
i've been on naltrexone for exactly 5 weeks today. i dropped down to 12.5mg and waited for the side effects to subside. then 25mg, then 37.5mg, where i am now. i'm looking to bump up to the normal TSM of 50mg once the SE's from 37.5 go away.
my weekly units are: 104.65 / 99.73 / 60.36 / 90.16 / 63.17. that's a 39.6% total reduction overall. that's awesome.
anyway, i was wondering, what's the legal status of nalmafene in the states? i'd love to get on an opioid antagonist that doesn't give me such horrible side effects. although i have been getting used to naltrexone over the last 5 weeks, i'd really prefer something that i can take at full dose immediately without feeling like i got hit by a bus every morning. it takes me like 2.5 hours to even get out of bed, i feel so awful, and i've been doing this really gradually.
is nalmafene something i can order online without Rx, or is it scheduled somehow to make buying and possessing it illegal? i googled around for a bit but came up with nothing definitive.
anyway, yeah, the naltrexone i think is making a difference. cravings are down, but i'm still drinking everyday. but i'm getting close to a point where i think i can safely take an AF day, maybe next week. that would have been impossible pre-TSM, so i'm still onboard, just feeling out any other options.
anyone?
