My Doctor prescribed me Nal but on the premise that I do not drink, she is old school so does not understand The Sinclair Method. She told me she would not prescribe me any more. My dilemma is that I am in Canada and Alldaychemist does not ship to Canada. Can anyone in Canada let me know where they get their Nal from or help as I am in need of more very soon?

Thank You

Goldpharma.sc is my source.

I have been worried about availability, so have accumulated a 6 month supply.

What if we ordered them in USA and sent them to you Cheeto .....that is so expensive !! Wonder if customs would stop them ....

I know alldaychemist is way less expensive and would love it if I could have it shipped here in Canada. I don't know if you have to state what is in a package and if customs would do anything, anyone else know about this?

I get my prescription from my doctor (in BC) and get the prescription filled here. It is revia and it is about $700 for 90. Thank goodness I have extended medical.

I guess I mentioned that I was in BC because maybe if you are fairly close, you could see my doctor...although I realize it is unlikely. If not, have you considered going to a clinic? My first RX for Naltrexone I got from a walk-in. I had just gone in and told the doctor I was an alcoholic and in trouble and I had done some research and wanted Naltrexone. He actually argued with me a bit about whether or not I was an alcoholic (he was Scottish and felt that a bottle of wine or a bottle and a half a day wasn't unreasonable) but did not give me any difficulty about the actual RX. It did take him some time to research it and the pharmacy had to order it as they didn't have any in stock but it really wasn't a problem to get him to prescribe it. I have had my doctor for over 20 years. I really like her and although she didn't know about the protocol, she listened and then learned about it.... but if she wouldn't prescribe me Naltrexone I would change doctors without thinking twice.

I also can't help but question if your doctor really understands the science behind it - perhaps they just need a bit of educating? I'm not saying that is an easy task, but it could be a possible alternative than changing doctors or having to ship from elsewhere.

I just feel strongly that we have the right to this medication as long as we are using it correctly and that a fellow Canadian shouldn't be forced to find an alternative source for the pill when it is legal and it could save our lives. I understand if it is too much to deal with for you but I do feel like if we are strong enough we need to push for our rights, not only for ourselves but for others who are suffering. If you can't, then I totally understand that too. The most important thing is to get better first....the rest will come later.

Thanks everyone, I do have about 1 1/2 months af Nal left so not in too much of a hurry to get more right now. I had seen another DR in my clinic at first as my Dr was away and kind of explained The Sinclair Method to him but he said I would need to see my own Dr to get the prescription. When I did see her she said she would ONLY give me 3 months on the premise I did not drink. She did not want to hear about the Sinclair Method from me as the other Dr told her what I had told hm and she only goes by the book which she had to look up what Nal was for.
I have extended Medical too but it did not cover Nal?
