Interesting subject. I never hid my drinking. . .er. . .exactly. But I would make sure the empty wine bottle was slid into the middle of the trash, with other stuff on top. Does that count?

Interesting topic.

I consider myself fortunate in that I don't feel the need to hide my drinking from my wife. And we don't have children. My wife knows and understands why I drink but she is naturally concerned that I consume more alcohol than I should. Having said that, when my mother was alive, I did hide some of my drinking from her; sadly, she had difficulty in understanding my mental health and, consequently, drink problem.
