I am going to get a Crown and maybe some other work done in Mexico in January and emailed the Dentist regarding me taking Nal and having freezing etc as Nal blocks the effects of opioids. He replied and said "My anestesia is not an opioid. I use mepivacaine with epinephrine.I dont think you Will have Any problems."
Has anyone else had Dental work with these? Just wanting to make sure it doesn't work and I go through huge pain. I know you can go off of Nal and then will have to stay off after the Dental work for another 7 days but that would be to risky for me.

When I was using naltrexone I asked my dentist before they did any work and was told it wouldn't be affected by the naltrexone and he was correct.

I would say check with dentist making clear it's an opiod blocker which you have done.

Mepivacaine with epinephrine is just like lidocaine -- a non-narcotic local anesthetic. The lidocaine is just a vasoconstricter to make you bleed less. Even if they gave you "laughing gas" or other sedative type drugs, Naltrexone won't make any difference.
