I'm curious if anyone has gotten Nodict lately and noticed a slightly different tablet form. I started tsm using Nodict with good results, but at some point was substituted Naltima. Recently I got Nodict again, and the pill seems slightly different, more rounded and with a deeper bisecting break-apart cutout in the form. Does anyone concur with that observation?

Odd thing, I feel like this new Nodict is a bit more potent than the old Naltima I have. I've been interchanging them as I go, and I've been struck the last couple of days by how well it's been working. I'd been knocking back my dose to 25mg, but started to feel like I've been able to overdrink that amount and get in trouble so the efficacy has been fresh on my mind. The last couple of times I've used the Nodict even still at 25mg, I've become starkly disinterested in my beer and it reminded me of my initial honeymoon days some years ago. Unfortunately, it also feels a little like those days because some of the adjustment period side affects seems to have returned - some sleep disturbance (wow, just a string of dreams) and waking up more tired than I should. I know that will pass though.

Anyway, this is refreshing in a sense. I'm striving for moderation and not abstinence at this point, but I think I was letting myself slip away from the extinction and this experience leaves me feeling vigilant about dosages/potency and making sure I'm getting the result and not just taking a set # of mg before drink. Wow, started to take this method for granted and I'm freshly gratified about how effective it can be.

NoDict works for some and not for others. One of the hypotheses about it is that their quality control isn't very good and the strength in different batches varies a good bit. That would square with what you're seeing (and with my own experience with it).

I haven't seen it in a new form, but it's possible.

Hmm, I know about the sticky thread theorizing that nodict was time release in spite of manufacturers assurances, but I didn't know folks were questioning it's strength.

In any case, I was able to confirm by finding an image that the pill form is slightly different. Hopefully it marks overall quality control improvement and at least my batch seems very effective. Additionally, the coating makes it much easier to split pills for folks like me and I know the naltima is tough to get down without getting a nasty taste. Anyway, might be worth a retry if folks have avoided this brand and the coating or pricing makes it appealing. FWIW

I personally never bought into the whole time release thing. Its just a more compressed pill. Nalorex (which I use and are scripted on the NHS) are also a pretty well compressed pill. 1 hour is more than enough time for your stomach to break a pill down.
