Perhaps because that combination of words, used with no spaces has only been indexed by google at this website?

Just for fun, I googled my own username: 15,300,000 results returned!

I picked a name I knew would be too common for anyone to find me. I don't post specific information to me only my experience. I don't get personal in PMs or email that would lead someone to me. I never give out my information.

I want the whole world to see what it's lilke. Not just TSM and the side effects, the effectivness or the controversy surrounding it. They need to see that they are not alone, they have not failed AA, Rehab or themself. That we can see the humor, the pain, the support, we bring here everyday. They can feel that they are a growing part of the quality of life we are inspiring.

I don't care if Non Alcoholic view it, I don't care if they post. Maybe they have friends and family and they have questions. Maybe they are a med student, future therapist, new advisor for addiction and want to offer other solutions to those like us.

I hope everyday that someone reads the stuff here and finds comfort and hope.

The persons you described are a critical part of our audience. One of the saddest things about TSM now is the number of us who must be secretive about it -- even with family and friends. The day will come when TSM is widely understood and accepted. TSM can be used to prevent alcohol addiction or to nip it in the bud. I predict that will be its predominant use one day. We are doing our bit on this board to educate.

Providence, houtx, bob, Lab, ART, etc~

Okay. I panicked and changed my screen name. ART~ I googled Marge1117 and several things came up. So, its me. I'm whiteroses now. Sorry about that but I do have insurance consequences I cannot inflict on my family. I'll sign off as Mira though.

Hope you don't all think of me as paranoid, even though I think of myself as that. Just been through an evil divorce, etc. Don't need any additional troubles.

Go April starters. Working on my signature. Also noticed that keeping track of alcohol does help me drink less.

But how did it get there ??!

elfern,

The GoogleBot (as it's called) visits this site very frequently. You can see when it's crawling the site (and thus gathering information) by going to the Board Index and looking at the bottom of the page where it says 'Who is online'. The GoogleBot ironically appears as a registered user, which I don't understand.

GoogleBot isn't a user in the same sense you or I are. It can come here and doesn't need to log in. I can shut it off to areas of the site that are reserved for members-only, but since the consensus around here was that we shouldn't require registration to read everything, there's nothing I can do to keep Google out that wouldn't also result in not showing up in Google at all (a terrible option).
