Hello,
I started the Sinclair method on the 8th of December. Since then I have had 6 drinking days and 4 AF days. I have drank no more than 3 units (beers) on the drinking days. My last drinking day was the 16th (2 days ago). I still feel like I am going to vomit. This is a way different feeling than a hangover. In addition I am exhausted, have a headache and am jittery. I started out on 50. I'm not sure what to do, I want to power through but this is almost unbearable. Any help, advice of positive experiences welcome!

Jay

Hi Jay,
I too struggled w/ side effects off and on....and now that I rarely drink I am really sensitive to the Nal.

What I suggest and what has worked for others is to take smaller dosages of the nal. Next time you take the Nal, take 1/4 pill (12.5 mg) and see whether the side effects go away. If no side effects, take 12.5 mg for a few days/week before you up it to 25mg. And gradually increase. Also make sure you eat a meal before taking the Nal and drinking and make sure you drink lots of water.

Let us know whether or not this works.

Thank-you for the advice,

I'm stubborn and was trying to take the 50 but I really should start out with a lower dosage like you suggested. I definitely do not want to stop the process, I'm committed. Also, thanks for the tips on the food and water. I tend to drink a ton of water anyway but I can slack on eating enough food.

Take care and thanks again.
Jay

No need to be stubborn. TSM is a fairly long journey. No need to suffer. Ramp up the dose and you should be fine.

Thanks. I'm happy to say that the side effects have lessen and I have upped my dosage to 25mg. The biggest side effect is fatigue. I'm really happy with the results thus far. I have cut waaay back on my drinking.
