Simply put: Please tell me (again!) how many units are in 1.75 liter bottle of 80% vodca? As I am in USA the count would be for USA.

The wine unit count: I am going to use 5 units per 750 bottle.

I am going to get my log together Thanks! No math equations needed just the number of units please

Going by the 10ml "unit":

1750ml x 80% = 1400ml
1400ml / 10ml = 140 units.

If it's actually 80 PROOF, then it's half that, 70 units. (200 proof = 100%)

It would be nice if we had a guide and/or calculator somewhere so that people could just type in their information and get a result. What standard do most of you go by?

Ok here's my math, correct me if I am wrong please!

If I drink 1 bottle of wine daily (@ 5 units per 750 bottle) x 7 days = 35 units per week

ADD to that 1/2 bottle of 1.75 liter vodca @ 80 Proof during those seven days = 70 units
That means: for this week my intake was 105 units.

RIGHT?
honestly ever since that seventh grade military math class I just have a block. Thanks so much for your help.
p.s. Trying to adjust my log, so that's why I am looking for the correct numbers

No I am better at the visual, I can see what I drank and it is 1/2 of the bottle. That was since last Wednesday. That's easier for me. SO I can best do my calcs that way. And if I just get rid of the vodca, it is easier for me to count the wine. But I will remember the unit count per shot.

Thanks so much

There's a reason for

I think you're mixing your units. A unit of alcohol in England is 10ml, but a unit in the US is 17.7ml. I was using the first because 10 is easier on my poor brain. A bottle of 13.3% chardonnay contains ten UK units, but only 5.65 US units. I guess that means that you can easily cut down on your alcohol drinking just by moving to the US.

Your 1.75l bottle of vodka contains roughly 40 US units. Half of said bottle is only 20 US units.

So, since you're drinking in America, 5 x 7 bottles of wine (accounting for spillage, I presume) + 40 x 1/2 bottle of vodka = 55 US units

My measurement is 1 750ml of 10% White Zinfandel = 5 units 1.5 liter = 10 (easier math for me).

I used to drink Martini's but decided not a good idea after the "christmas bender". It was really really ugly.
