Hi all,
I will try and keep this short... I bought Nal last summer... and as with most things in my life, have a hard time sticking to a regimen.

I was just prescribed Citalopram for depression and anxiety, a low dose.. 10mg.

I'm hoping to eat well, exercise, take my Citalopram and get back to taking Nal before having a drink... whether it be one or more.

Should I worry about taking both the Citalopram and the Nal... I know that the anti-depressant also has affects on craving.

I don't expect to be taking the Nal everyday.. after all I want to cut back on the drinking... but are there any worries about taking both?

Thank you!!! BoniRamona

Oop.. I may have put this in the wrong forum... I'm not sure how to move it to the correct one.
Thanks

Hi Boni,
I'm not sure what type of antidepressant that is. I take Zoloft, which is an SSRI, and there is no interaction with nal. You should probably ask your doctor or at least do a bit of google research. As long as it's not an opiate, you should be =safe= i think, but it might still have an interaction that causes either medication to work less well.
Good luck!

Thank you!! I had done a little research myself.. but thought it wouldn't hurt to throw the question out there. Yes it is an SSRI.. so I don't think there should be any problem.

Hi. Any updates on this? My TSM journey was interrupted by a bad accident and after 8 weeks on opioid pain killers and then (stupidly) drinking without Nal, I am now on Venlafaxine for depression and anxiety. I want to get back to TSM as soon as things settle down and so badly want it to work. I was going really well before the crash. Any reassurance would be gratefully received.

I took Celexa (Citalopram) when I was taking Nal (I have only had one glass of bubble in two years so rarely take Nal now) and I had no problems at all. Good luck to all of you! Be Patient - Nal is amazing and works differently for all of us......

Hugs, Maggie

It is hard for me to stick to one Regimen. The Naltrexone forum and ninjaessays reviews are ensured for the statements for the field. Proportion is filled for the total aspects. The file is opened for the Regimen for all individuals.
