I will answer my own questions:

1) No, don't want one. Prefer not having the medical record re drinking issue. Medication is proven save at 50 mg...just have liver test done first.

2) Purchased online from alldaychemist of India for just under $17 per 10 pills or under $2 per pill. Shipping is about $25.

3) I have yet to receive my order from alldaychemist. Express mail tracking indicates shipment has been "Inbound into Customs" since last Saturday night. (I started doing TSM about 1 month ago with some NAL -- actually non-generic ReVia -- I had bought several years ago from another online source but did not use; at that time I had tried the abstinence with NAL approach on my own.)

1) Yes, I have a prescription.

2) I don't buy online. I get my prescription filled at the pharmacy inside one of the grocery stores I frequent. With my health insurance, I pay $8 / month.

3) NA

4) I get a generic. I think it is from Barr Pharmaceuticals. It works fine.

No prescription, I buy from alldaychemist.com. Last order was 120 pills + $25 shipping for a total of $226.60. Delivery time was always under 2 weeks but never less than a week. The pills are called Naltima and they seem to work as well as anything else.

Update: I received the exact same order, 120 pills, from alldaychemist a few days ago. It took 18 days, but was stuck in US customs for 10 days.

The pills seem to work fine so far, 2 days in. Note: I had previously only taken non-generic ReVia from DuPont Pharma. The pills from alldaychemist, called Naltima, are generics.

This is my second day of taking prescription brand from pharmacy (Walgreen's). This may all be in my head but I feel like the Nodict from River was more potent/effective. Yesterday was first day I had AL cravings since starting TSM on 10/3, but it could also be wearing off of the drastic honeymoon effect. I felt with Nodict I had constant funny metallic taste in the back of my mouth, don't seem to have it with the new doctor prescribed pills. I'm going to keep with them for now because saving $117/month is quite attractive, although drinking less is certainly cheaper

2. I bought online for the first batch, from alldaychemist, I paid whatever they charge for 120 pills + shipping. then I got the script.

3. it took around 12-15 days I believe.

My shrink is sensitive to the fact that having alcohol treatment on one's record makes it difficult to get insurance in the future, so she lists it for one of the many other uses for Nal, I forget which one. Very thoughtful of her. I never noticed a difference in the generic but I was only on it for a few weeks. I got the same SE's that I got from vivitrol.

One thing: if anyoe decides to start out with a vivitrol shot, I would recommend taking 25mg, Nal for a few days first. The SE's from the vivitrol shot made me feel like **** for 4 days. Worse than the SE's form the NAl, probably because It all came at once in the fist time-release, and I didn't titrate up tp the normal daily dosage

Ok guys, i've got to come clean about how I procured the NAL!

I called my coke dealer and he hipped me to a place downtown in an alley. I followed his directions exactly and scored. Here's what you do.

Walk down the alley between 2nd and confer ave at the corner of peabody st. Just past the 3rd dumpster on the right, there is a door. Knock 3 times on that door, then twice, then three times again. You will be asked for the password. The password is "nonchalant bunt cake" A midget in a fedora with a mustache will then invite you in and take your coat. You must defeat the blind lady in billiards three times before you can meet Hal, known on the streets as NAL Hal. He's your man. Godspeed my fellow TSM'ers!!!!!!!! See you on the other side

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm happy with the NAL from alldaychemist. It appears to work as good as the Dupont non-generic. At $1.67 per pill it's a bargain!!
