Hello,

For the past two-three days, I've been taking L-Glutamine as mywayout.org suggested this supplement for curbing cravings. And sure enough, last night for the first time in 19 weeks, I had zero desire to drink. YAY!!! However, along with not feeling like drinking I also had quite a bit of nausea even after lowering my dosage to 1000mg per day. So, I'm wondering if this is normal and has anyone on this forum experienced the same effect? I think its great that "Overnight I feel cured" but the nausea has got to go.... I should also mention, I'm taking Milk thistle as well. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Thanks, and any info anyone has would be greatly appreciated.
:D
Best,

I've never experience nausea with L-glutamine and I'd not heard of anyone else doing so either.

Thanks UKB,

I've been researching about Milk thistle as well as L-glutamine and the side effects for some people include nausea. I guess I'm "some people". :(( I'll cut my dose in half and only take one supplement at a time to see of I can still get away with taking this. I found the change in my desire to drink zero alcohol to be amazing.

Thanks for your help.

Are you also taking nal? Nal gives me nausea very randomly...sometimes not at all, sometimes to the point of throwing up. I'd guess that's more likely than the vitamins.

Hi EL

Yes, I'm taking Nal. But since I take it most every day I don't feel any nasea from Nal. So last night I took 1/2 capsule of L glutamine to see if that was the culprit. But no I'll effects from it so far. So I'm thinking it may be the milk thistle. I'll just have to keep experimenting to see what it was. Thank you.

By the way there are a whole host of things that are always listed as effects from supplements, or medicines that I always take with a pinch of salt since they are always 'some people' and often including nausea, weight loss, weight gain that sort of thing. I'd attribute it to possibly something else, but do report back your findings!

Yes, I have also tried this supplement and zipjob review actually works. I was a regular drinker, but now I never had a craving for drinking. Finally, I get rid of this bad habit because I believe excessiveness of everything leads to danger.
