hello all, Im very new to nal and have a question. I hope Im putting this in the right spot here.

Im supposed to go to the DDS for a filling in a couple of weeks. Will the Nal Im taking (50mg) negate the effects of novicaine?

Ask your dentist. If you don't want to do that, call another dentist or pharmacist. Short of that, simply do not take Nal for 48 hrs. It will completely wash out of you system. Lastly, refuse the Novicaine, lost of people get fillings without it (although I admit, I'm not one of them). Good-luck!

As digetic says, ask your dentist and/or doctor first. My understanding is that it won't because Novocaine is _not_ an opioid and so shouldn't be affected by Naltrexone (which is an opioid blockade); however, I have no expertise or credentials so this is purely a layman's opinion based upon http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Procaine and the public Naltrexone information
