After waiting for what seemed like forever (but was probably closer to 20 days), my Nal finally arrived. I took the next day off work and took my Nal at 10:30 am and started drinking around 11:30 am- this was a uncommon but still too common drinking pattern for me pre-Nal. I was worried about side effects, and wanted to have time to get sick if that was going to happen. Fortunately, all I felt was a little light-headed and spacy. That was on 25mg. I stayed on 25 mg for the next few days, then went up to 50 mg.
I'm definitely on the NAL honeymoon. I'm drinking half what I did pre-NAL. I'll pour myself a glass of wine and then get around to taking the first sip half an hour later. I'll get distracted when my glass is only half finished, and not even think about drinking until I'm done with whatever activity distracted me. I've probably lost 5 pounds in the last two weeks (one of my excuses to drink was "I'm eating...so I need a glass of wine"...as a consequence, I ate almost constantly).
I still enjoy my alcohol (I always liked the taste of alcohol, and I LOVE a good glass of wine), and there is still a definite buzz- it is slighly differant, but still pleasant. I just don't feel as obsessed with the next drink as I was Pre-TSM.
I know this is just the NAL honeymoon, and I'm fully expecting the "extinction burst" to happen in a few weeks. However, I'm delighted at the results so far!

Great news! No one has the honeymoon only to conclude TSM does not work for them. You are on your way!

Great news indeed! I feel like the honeymoon is really helpful, even if your units go back up, because it shows you how you can be a different sort of drinker. Always try and keep that in mind even if you go back up!!
