My friend is going to his Psychiatrist today and wants a good letter describing the program. Is there anything "canned" that people have used. I don't think I have time to write anything before then.

I provided the NY times article linked above, a copy of the wikipedia summary, an abstract from project COMBINE, and a copy of Ch 17 "For Medical Professionals" from the book.

You folks provided the exact information I was going to suggest. Also, Going4More's incredibly well-written "letter to spouse/family" located on this site is more anecdotal and less persuasive, but still something else also worth considering and a good summary of this site. viewtopic.php?f=4&t=360

AND also the note about the use of naltrexone and pain medications in case of an accident.
The card in your wallet so medical professional know you are taking naltrexone and need special pain med.
I would hate to be in needless pain!
