Hi D,
Short answer: slow down. You have the rest of your life to hit your baclofen switch. Titrate back down to a dosage low enough to tolerate the SE's. For some, that is 5mg/day. At a low dosage, you should just feel really chilled and very pleasant, but not spaced. Stay there for a week at least, then increase to 10mg/day and stay there for a week, but only if no SE's. Carry on with tiny increases, or perhaps larger but only if you feel no SE's. Try taking a larger dose at bedtime, smaller dose in the AM.
I seem to recall that when Lo0p started baclofen he did not have a day job. I, like you, have to be on top of my game during the day. The past several weeks have been very hard for me. I did not have serious SE's when starting, but perhaps taking Lo0p's example a bit to0 seriously I titrated up too quicky around week 3 and got clobbered by SE's that took almost 2 weeks to subside. In retrospect, I would have made more progress had I titrated more slowly. Please see
my thread for some negative stuff, maybe around page 2. I recommed that you continue with TSM.
You're a funny guy. I have experienced all of your SE's including contemplating sex with the license plate (but maybe not the senator

). If you titrate back down, then baclofen will become mostly pleasant - you will feel very calm and maybe only occasionally zone out during the day. The effect is wierd: as long as I am actively engaged in interaction, then I am fine; but when I am introspectively contemplating I tend to nod off into another place. Sometimes I just get up and walk to the water fountain and this helps. Everyone is different; I can't guarentee that slow titration will eliminate SE's, but for most it does.
There are many baclofen threads on
My Way Out, so make sure you check that out. In particular, see
corkit's thread and
Lo0p's thread.
I'm going to NetFlix Bad Lieutenant.
Good Luck!
