This is very odd. We are all so different in our reactions. I've taken Nordict from the start. I had no adverse reaction other than a bit of spacy feeling - just enough to know I had taken it. But never anything nasty.

It did what it was supposed to do for me. However I did not take other brands so have no comparison. I did drink 'over' it many times, and then stopped taking it and began to drink more than ever. Now I have begun to take it again (from my old batch) and it is the same in my opinion.

Hope this gives another perspective. Babs

I ve give up with nordict. Sides too heavy, ruining my days, sleepering feel. Confused, I need to work...it needed two whole days to pass over it after quitting, I belive in tms, looking forward to get naltima, revia or better selincro.

Has anyone been using Naltima from River? I am beginning to worry that its not the same as the Naltima from AllDayChemists. My brother had 2 batches of Naltima, one from ADC and the other from River. The ADC batch was working well but when it finished and he began on the River batch, it seemed to reverse his progress. I hope the Naltima River sells is not like the Nodict they sell which he also tried with unsatisfactory results. I am wondering if River buys their meds from one central (cheap) source in India who may not be selling the real stuff. We cant order from ADC anymore due to their tighter country shipping policies so I hope I am wrong about the Naltima from River.

I'm happy to report that the Naltima from River is good. Was concerned about the backsliding my brother went through when his drink got to more than pre-TSM levels for several weeks. But its nicely come down now and his intake also slowed where it would take much longer for him to drink the same amount.

I remember many moons ago buying some Nodict with a half-hearted attempt at TSM. What I do remember about it was that it seemed to be a very hard pressed pill. Maybe it takes a while longer to breakup into the system? I noticed this with Nalorex. I've taken one before and after about 40 minutes I could still sometimes feel it stuck at the bottom of my throat.

I now always take my pill in a piece of bread or other food to make sure it gets into my stomach and not stuck in the throat canal and instead of 1 hour I give it 1 1/2 to be on the safe side.

This thread has me concerned. I'm still awaiting my naltrexone, and guess what I ordered? Yep, NoDict from River Pharmacy.

I'd seen a few mentions that NoDict was time-released and therefore unsuitable for TSM, but I also saw River Pharmacy's disclaimer that it is not time-released, and I figured the former was just an Internet rumor.

Now . . . well, I'll chew it if I have to, although others' descriptions mean that I'm not looking forward to it. :) But I do wonder, as did someone else above, if we couldn't just cut it into quarters and get more surface area that way?

Melissa,
Have they already shipped it? Would it be possible to change the order to Naltima (if they stock that) or cancel and order from All Day Chemist? If not, chewing it would be a good idea. There does seem to be a mixed response to the Nodict...you might find that it's fine for you.
Ruth.

Yes, it's already shipped and almost here. I'm not looking forward to the nasty taste of chewed tablets. :x Maybe I can put it in a dab of peanut butter, like getting a dog to eat a nasty medicine. Peanut butter shouldn't hurt anything.

Heeeey, I just had (maybe) a brilliant idea. Years ago I saw "make your own capsules" gadgets in health and herbal stores, which let you fill gelatin capsules with your own herbs or whatever.

They were kind of like this:

http://www.amazon.com/Capsule-Machine-fill-201c00-201c-capsules/dp/B006OQ4316

http://www.amazon.com/Cap-M-Quik-Tamper-Capsule-Filling-Machine/dp/B005SSNMZO?SubscriptionId=AKIAIWRYGV3WVC2SBITA&tag=JOYBIL-20

Could we not powder the NoDict and put the powder into rapidly dissolving capsules? Assuming some is lost to the powdering process, 1.25 tablets would be equal to or slightly greater than 50mg.

For those who are sitting on a large supply of NoDict and find the nasty taste a deterrant, it might be worth investing a few bucks. More hassle, of course, but it might be worthwhile if the taste is really that bad, and it'd certainly be simpler for someone away from home to have capsules rather than having to powder a pill in a restaurant.
