How did we lose the reference? Who deleted it?

I stand correct. It looks like the link to this site is still in the wikipedia document, just moved. I read the wikipedia document about TSM recently and thought it was gone. Maybe it went away for awhile, then somoene put it back.

Interesting that our old friend Robert Rapplean wrote most of what's in that document.

They have their own site and are entitled to make rules. There are plenty of them who I'm sure are 100% sincere and imagine us to be delusional alkies trying any trick to stay drinking - they might decide that they are doing a good thing by going 'undercover' here. Think how we'd feel.

Yup. Whatever y'all think of the people who own and moderate the site, the people I've interacted with over there are on the level about either offering or receiving help. Y'all differ only in your methods, and not in your sincerity. Those few regulars here who appear from time to time to tell their stories in a non-confrontational way do this site a favor, and certainly helped to motivate me to try Naltrexone. I believe the AA'ers refer to that as maintaining a program of attraction rather than promotion. I doubt you'd win as many converts though confrontation and guerrilla tactics.

Yeah I see thats a very good point,..but you see my intent was to help some poor soul that may not find us,...but you both are right.....I think its a matter of a year or so when the cured list gets huge that we could revisit my conference thread,...I've left it be till a little more time goes by then I'm gonna rebump it unless you think we should start planning for a Fall conference,...I'm assuming a year into it,..I'll be cured....but thats just me(I'm really hoping in 2 months I'll be hawkeye)...BEst, and thanks for your maturity and insight guys...Jim Clark

Thanks for your generosity, but allow me perform the transaction first, then I'll take you up on your offer. I don't know how to set up an account; if anyone knows how to do that, PM me please.

Bob

Hello Bob,
I am new here, but do have some experience with international payments since I sell online --- it is entirely possible for you to receive payments/donations by two very well known methods both of which are similar:

Answer : "Google Checkout" or "Paypal". Different service providers providing the same basic idea. You would simply to go to http://google.com/checkout or http://www.paypal.com and sign up. You will enter all your banking account details. This is where funds would end up deposited. (simply put, your bank account.)

Other people will be able to send money to you by clicking a button, that you would need to add to your website.

On Google checkout, you could use a simple button that offers different payment amounts, according to "supporter status" or however you want to word it.

On Paypal, same thing.

The difference between the two sites in my experience is that Google checkout is much more secure with far fewer problems. Paypal is often the subject of global complaints and dissatisfaction, but people still use it for whatever reason.
I use Google Checkout on my own website where I sell gift items and have been happy with it.

Hope this informal approach will work for you and that the info helps.

Hi Bob,

I was a member of another quiting site where the the person who set up the site had a paypal account we could send money to and it worked fine. I dont know how you go about setting it up on your end though. This is not genorisity, Im thrilled that I found this site and heard of this method and anything we can do to help other people in the same position as we were in is nearly a responsibility in my book.
