I explicitly asked my psychiatrist about mixing alcohol and Zoloft, Paxil, Buspar, Mobic, Naltrexone, Campral, and Valium, all of which I have taken at one time and every one of the meds say don't mix with alcohol and I found that hard to believe. He told me the only one to be concerned about is alcohol and Valium (a benzo). He then told me out of his 3,000 patients over the years, he's had 3 deaths total and all of them have been ruled accidental by ingestion of too much alcohol and benzos. The other meds, he said I could drink with. Personally, I have had alcohol with all of them including the Valium, and I can vouch for the bad combination of those two! The others have had absolutely no effect. Obviously, the Naltrexone is intended to be used with drinking. Bob - the above is my personal experience and is not intended to influence the decisions of others one way or another... (take that Nick! )
