Don't be so silly - of course you can celebrate your 1 year anniversary! That is awesome! Your advice and your counsel are gold - SR has his place and so do others, but I find the combination of all the voices here - the 'cured', the almost cured, the woops-made-a-mistakers, and the why-the-heck-am-I-not-cured are what makes this board so powerful. Don't diminish what you bring to this place, you have helped so many of us.

I am super happy again. I am so kicking myself in the butt these days for letting myself get carried away with the new course and the supposed new life it would bring me that I let myself get lazy for a while there, but now I am so happy. I have been taking my pill every time before I need to go anywhere that there is a drinking situation and it is working very well. I just got back from a business networking event related to school and it was at a bar near the school. I took my pill before I went and an hour later I had a drink. Then one more and I was done. All those other kids were there trying to keep it together and it was no problem for me. Thank you Nal!! I love what this medication does for me. I left with my reputation and my "self" intact. I cannot express how great it feels to be sitting here not feeling regret and fear and any sort of guilt or self loathing! I can wake up tomorrow knowing I did my thing and then did not leave some sort of hideous trail behind me. Also because of my mistake I realize how well it works and just how valuable what we are doing is. Cheers and best wishes to all!

Thanks for your supportive words. I appreciate them very much. It is Friday. Yeah! I have lots of homework but at least I have a little time to do it. All is still good on the Sinclair front. I am still amazed at the difference it makes. I am so glad this medicine is out there for us. For me it is a real asset. Makes my life manageable. I am going to hit the books again now and I just wanted to wish you all a great weekend. Best wishes all!!

Yes, I too, although I drink to excess alone, have been completely able to keep in together in public, and that is why I continue to take the Nal.
