It's been spotty, sometimes yes, sometimes no. I did notice on one occasion that the error message contained a password (ie password="*********") or something to that effect, except it listed the actual password. I don't know if this is related to the hacking.

N101CS - It's what we do - we are professionals. Do not try this at home.

WTE,

I love it!

On three occasions since the major outage i have tried to access the site only to receive an error message. It seems strange i tried earlier today and on two occasions i couldn't get through. I notice no one else has made any reference to this.

If you get an error message it means we've been hacked - again. It's happened three or four times now and each time I delete everything and upload a fresh copy of the software. This last time they modified over 300 files.

I have some folks at phpbb working on it.

Ugh.

Sort of related. When I start uploading a fresh copy of the software, there are points during the upload where if someone tries to access the site, they will get a message that can include one of our admin passwords. I always finish each upload by changing that password, so no harm done.

I'll admit I was horrified at first when I saw that!

Well, all seems fine again after getting a series of error messages over the last few hours.

Don't want to clog up the thread with thank you's - could fill a page with them! Whoever does all the hard work behind the scenes THANK YOU. I think we're all a little lost without the site.

Yes, thank you so much N101CS for your hard work, this must be a right royal pain in the whatnot :(

I see the forum code is not back to normal (at least I see very strange things on the page here as I compose this message - the font colours apparently with 'code' format to the right of the reply box, and the smilies likewise to the left).

A thought struck me over the last few days that this might have something to do with the fact that I linked images (smileys) on my 'can we please have more smilies (sic)' thread. I doubt it, actually, because I believe the board first went down before I made that post, but should I edit and delete those links just in case (or please feel free to look at that and delete and deal with as necessary)...?

I've been posting over at MWO. Seen lena, Firebird and others over there. Thanks guys for keeping in touch.

Were other people continuing to touch base via the google-spreadsheet-chat-type-thing otherwise? I don't really know what that's all about or how to use it (or even where it is!!)

I agree with bob when he posted at MWO that we need a contingency plan if attacks continue to occur and the board at this address goes down - people may be in desperate straits and relying on this place...any ideas?

Gasoline and a match would be too kind for the assh*les that keep screwing up this site.

Out hosting provider *claims* they fixed something but I'm not so sure. It seems to be okay for the last few hours, which is good. We'll see.
