Well, so far I got 3 thank-you's and a welcome from the forum leader - CarolD. I also spent an hour on their chat and there were at least two people that were interested in TSM, although there were too many 12 steppers there to make a good case. I didn't want to push my luck just yet.

I assume that's you 1-4-the-road appearing as OneForTheRoad. You got a welcome from the forum leader too and 4 thank-you's (one is from me).

I think I'll wait a day and post my Excel extinction graph. It's real data and it's not medical advice, but it will be interesting to see the response from the general members and from the moderators.

Bob

bob3,

I wonder what I said that got be banned. The first reponse I got accussed me of being a marketer. I assured them I was not and my posts were very respectful. Maybe it was because I recommend TSM for all those who are having trouble with other methods. Oh well....at least you're getting the message out on soberrecovery.com

I visited there. Yuck -- it's too thick of a jungle for me. I get all depressed when I read about people suffering with alcoholism, especially those who have been spending years looking for an answer. Some day soon . . . .

Tom -- They seem really hung up on not giving advice about a medical matter. It's in the board rules and I noticed the moderator posted about it to poor Tyler. I noticed our resident Eddie Haskell was careful to explain to Mrs. Cleaver that he was only describing his own experience and not giving advice. Could that be it??

After I read their rules, I carefully phrased the note to the moderators, but I am sure that they will have their eye on me. I'm gonna lay low for a day or two before my next post. I don't understand how they can call Tom a marketer, when what we offer is free. And lena, I agree with you of how lost folks really are and how depressing it is over there, but there's thousands of people to be reached.

"Good morning Mrs. Cleaver, my you look wonderful today. Is that a new dress? And your hair looks marvelous... You know Wallace is a wonderful son and wonderful friend to me but I noticed that he has bottle of vodka under his bed and last night he showed up at the sock hop with Mary Ellen Rogers quite intoxicated. I would like to discuss with you the alternatives for treatment. We could take Wallace to AA but it's actually a non-scientific, faith-based cult with a paltry 5% success recovery rate whereas TSM works for nearly 90% who try it. In other words Mrs. Cleaver, AA is an abject failure with a lower success rate than non-intervention and spontaneous recovery whereas TSM is poised to save millions. I hope you consider that when contemplating the best course of action for our fine young man, Wallace. Could I please have a some ice cream with my glass of milk?"

Bob -- You're a brave soul for carrying the message. I just don't have the stomach for it, given where 'm at right now.

LOL,

Before we are all said and done, the entire TSM community will be banned from that site!

I can't help it though... I'm headed over too. :)

This may be kind of a lame idea, but I think it could help if flyers were left or posted at the AA meeting location(s). I wouldn't want to start anything that would make TSM look bad, or fanatical, etc. Maybe that would do more harm than good? But I could at least post some flyers in stores where they have boards full of ads, business cards, etc. The basic message would be to direct people to this site - making it clear that it is anonymous, like AA, but is an alternative that WORKS! What do you guys think? :?:

Wow Lena...

Krazy - I think reprints of newspaper articles would be the best thing to pass out / leave around. That way we wouldn't look like shills.

I think notice boards at shops and suchlike is a fantastic idea Krazy, but I'm not sure about handing stuff out at AA meetings.
