Well put. I feel the same way about the Urge vs Habit topic. Once your craving is low, it is very easy to simple choose not to drink.
Like you, my craving level is mostly in the 1-3 range. When my craving is that low, I just don't drink -- AL just has no appeal to me at these times. It is fairly easy to go 4 or 5 days AF. Occasionally, my craving will spike up into the 5 - 6 range. When this happens and the timing is right, I take NAL and drink.
Agreed. The way you are describing your level of craving and drinking patterns now, I would say that you are the same place I am really. It really depends on what YOU consider cured: The total absence of the craving to drink or a low level of craving to drink most of the time. For me, it was the later.
