Jaba - you did not upset anyone - I agree with Deena in that the article rubbed them the wrong way - I know that she would be really upset if she thought that she had upset you - truly ! Please continue to share - I actually like the idea of the 1, 2 3 rule - and not because a medical person has said it - I just like it ! I think it makes sense. Except I don't really think that the 1 drink would work for me - the 2 and the 3 are wise - for me ! Actually aren't the 1 and 2 the same ?

I think UK has more things for drinkers than over here - I remember that other one months ago where they had one twin drink every night and the other binged at the weekend - but over a week they drank the same amount then did various tests to see what happened to them health wise - that was really good !

Please do not take it personally Jaba ....

Hugs, Maggie x

Jaba, you did not offend me in the least!! You really didn't I was just giving my perspective. I WANT to read things that are new to me or that I might think I disagree with!! I want a different perspective. As I just posted on another thread, we are all so different and works for one doesn't work for another. I CANNOT FOLLOW RULES - if someone tries to give me a rule I will break it even if it is bad for me! I'm not proud of that but I have to work with what I've got. I am sorry that I might have written forcefully and made you think I was offended at you, certainly did not mean it that way. It would be WAY easier for me if I could follow a rule like that one believe me.

Please do not stop posting what is in your heart. This should be a safe space where we all feel free to do that.

Big hugs from Newlife

thanks all,

Like I said an emotional roller coaster. Reading all the responses made me tear up...good grief!

Ain't it fun being a woman?

I'm not sure I'd take much notice of three rules where the first two contradict each other

edit: amusingly enough, the UK drinking guidelines do something similar. 28 UK units/week for men, not more than 4 a day, & have two AF days a week (or something like that)
