This episode brings up a few points I'd like to mention... None of this is directed at ANYONE - these are general points that occurred to me because of my situation.
The first is that "sharing" prescription drugs is technically illegal. Naltrexone is unscheduled (i.e., not a controlled substance) and there is very little chance the "authorities" would mess with anyone sharing it under the radar (they're too busy screwing up our economy anyway). I would suggest that anyone sending anyone else medicine use the
recipient's name and address for both the shipping and return address. That way if something did happen, it couldn't be tied back to the sender.
Next is that if you get naltrexone from someone, you might receive a brand you aren't familiar with. Double check it to make sure it's the right stuff! You are, after all, getting it from someone who might be on the sauce when they package it up

and you'd hate to be taking birth control pills or Viagra instead of naltrexone. Pictures of all of the pills can be found online. The stuff from River is in a sealed foil strip with Nodict written all over it so it's easy to identify.
Finally, and this should go without saying but I'm mentioning it so it's never an issue in the future: Alcoholism or problem drinking is a sensitive and/or embarrassing issue. During an exchange the sender, the recipient or both will likely learn the identity and location of the other. Under no circumstances should any information a person hasn't posted here him/herself be revealed to anyone else in any public or private area of the board.
Several people on the board know exactly who I am. They are as sweet and nice as anyone I've ever met and I am NOT calling their integrity into question. I just want everyone to know that when you're dealing with each other, private information stays private.
Revealing private information, even if someone has left the board or pisses you off somehow, will get you booted out in a nanosecond. If ever there is some emergency (someone is suicidal, for example) and you need to call help for them, do it on the phone with the cops, not here!
That is all. Carry on.
