I am no scientist, but AJ is definitely accurately summarizing what Dr. Sinclair and Dr. Eskapa have said on this subject: endorphins are released with all drinks -- nothing special about the first one -- so you need to always have naltrexone in your system when you drink, regardless of which drink it is.
Fair enough. I'm certainly not advocating any deviation from TSM, but merely speculating as to the effectiveness a product that might better target the problem with fewer side effects and more versatility. This is all just speculation at this point. It's quite conceivable that there will be new drugs that are aimed more specifically at the problem area. A very recent study in mice has shown that only low doses of alcohol stimulate endorphin release in the mid-brain, which is believed to be the center that mediates the rewarding effect of alcohol. It seems very likely that somewhere down the road there will be a super-Nal that will further the science championed by Dr. Sinclair.
