Count me out. This is the LAST place I ever thought I'd experience peer pressure, with its accompanying judgment.
TSM IS a license to drink 10 a day if that is how someone normally drinks. Saying otherwise implies that those on this board who still are drinking heavily are somehow weak or self-indulgent. I find that highly offensive, and the very antithesis of TSM. A recurring theme in Eskapa's book is, this method doesn't judge you. E.g. p. 97: The Sinclair Method advocates a non-judgmental position with respect to addiction. . . . From a Sinclairian perspective, you would most certainly not be labeled in a negative way. . . ."
I understand that some on this board have found that using effort was useful. Others have not. Offering support to those who are in a position to make that choice is swell. I also understand that words in a post can mislead as to the true intent of the writer. But that very fact means that we need to be sensitive to what we post. Perhaps I would have read the thread as calling for solidarity in trying for an AF day in a more positive light if the insult about naltrexone not being a license to drink ten a day had been left out.
There are many on this board who would cut off their right arm if it would give them some control. How must they feel, reading this thread?????

The very suggestion of a "forum-wide" AF day creates an underclass on the forum.
I'm progressing nicely, but, in solidarity with those still at the stage where an AF day is not an option, I just might let loose on March 7. To those in that group: You are not weaker than or inferior to those who are farther along in the struggle. You deserve compassionate support at least as much as those who have enjoyed more progress. This still is YOUR board, too.
I have no opinion about chat but it really was not that long ago when the poll pretty soundly rejected it. I put much thought into this post, and got some feedback before I posted it, BTW.
